Whole Building Performance Assessment

I expect you would agree with me that today’s church organizations are faced with unprecedented times.  Historically in challenging times, church congregations are blessed to experience growth as families seek the support and certainty of church ministries.  However, during these questionable economic times it is hard to think about embarking on a major capital funds campaign to meet the needs of expanding congregations.  The current conditions are challenging us to make wise decisions as to how our church facility is working as a tool for ministry.  This presents an exciting opportunity to consider how we can best meet the needs of the church with wise use of its resources.  I pray you will consider how my firm can partner with you to best meet the community needs for your church.

Why would a church need a Whole Building Performance Assessment?  We make sure our vehicles are in top working order by scheduling periodic oil changes and maintenance checks.  We take care of our bodies with yearly physicals.  Why don’t we do the same for our buildings?

Our church facilities were designed and constructed based on the church’s ministry needs and functions, and by wise planning of the original building committee, thought for future growth was considered.  However, times have changed since the buildings were constructed and the ministry needs of our churches have evolved as well.  How are our church facilities now working as valuable tools for the ministry and mission of the Church?  '

Do your church members have concerns like …

  • Our church is growing and its ministry and mission are evolving.  What are some short term remedies that we can do to allow our facility to meet the needs of this growth without embarking on a major capital funds building program?

  • Our operations budget is overwhelming.  What can we do to reduce our energy consumption?

  • Some congregation members are experiencing problems with ineffective light levels in the Sanctuary making it hard to read and negatively impacting their worship experience.  What can we do?

  • The heating/cooling system creates areas that are uncomfortably hot or cold. How can this be remedied?

  • Our facility does not allow access for all to worship. How can we make the building more inviting?

  • How can our church facility function at its peak potential?  Is our church facility a help or hindrance in being the tool we need for reaching out to the community?

If so, it is time for a Whole Building Performance Assessment for your church facility.

Please contact us to discuss how we can best serve your church.
